Let’s say an old man with Alzheimer’s at a nursing home and he escaped and goes into some random home and starts raping a woman. But, he doesn’t mean harm. He doesn’t know what he’s doing. He thinks it’s normal.
Would this man go to prison?
I don’t think it’s ethically or morally right for the court to sentence him to life in prison for something he has no control over. Some Alzheimer’s patients get into fights or even try to hurt themselves. They’re not right in the head.
So what do you think?
