Can anyone else here only get a clean shave by going against the grain?

Literally only 5% of my facial hair gets shaved off if I shave along the grain but apparently one of the biggest things people say about shaving is “muh never go against the grain!”. It’s not about getting a better shave it’s about getting a shave in general when I do this

my moustache has that 5 o clock shadow if shaved along the grain

If i do it against then i get Pimples
