Are they just not interested in basketball or what? 1 bilion people in India and nobody is recognisable basketball player? No cap only asian players that I know are Jeremy Lin and Yao Ming... It's not culturally popular for indians to play basketball. The 1 billion + figure is stupid, because it's not a popular sport there. The only sport indians actually play is cricket, which is why they are decent there. Indians are the worst athletically but there would be enough tall indians to get at least one nba spot.
