Asking this because my face grew quite downward in the past few years despite never mouth breathing, not even in my sleep, I think this was caused either by my shit posture that has gotten worse over time or my tendency to not keep my teeth in contact and to actually leave them pretty far apart (Albeit with my mouth closed). Which is it?

I don’t think so although I have heard some copers mention it. Truth is if it even does it would be so marginal you would never notice.

Yes however the bulk of the downward growth that horsefacecels have is genetic.

Chicken vs egg scenario

People with good posture tend to good growth but bad growth prevents good posture. If your airway is constricted, your head will be in the wrong position to compensate.

I know for me braces ruined my face and posture

I don't think mine totally is because I have the longest MFR in my family (0.95), my jaw is very downward grown as well so I will do my best to CCW it and look good again

I don't know if braces are always to blame, I actually looked fine while I had orthodontics on and it wasn't until like 3 or so years after that I started growing very downward, btw I hit puberty very early like 11 or so and finished by age 13-14 so it definitely wasn't just natural because my downward grown face didn't really rear its ugly head until age 16-17 or so, am 18 now and attempting to reverse the damage

So does keeping teeth in contact matter at all or is that cope
