Can cartilage be manipulated over time

In theory since MMA fighters get cauliflower ear that means that cartilage is susceptible to being changed over time from force. Would like some opinions on this since would mean that nose tip can be changed due to the same factors. I only need the tip of my nose to be shrunk not the actual bone.
