Can glasses be a looksmax?

Not regular glasses, but something like these that you can wear all the time:

I wore a pair similar to these and my sister said I looked better. Apparently, wearing glasses can make your face appear more symmetrical. What do you guys think, is this a legit looksmax or cope?
