Been training almost daily for like 2 weeks because I have to earn my showers as a homeless nigga. Doing shoulders, back, arms on rotation with legs every day. Using exercises and ideas from knees over toes guy for my leg work.

decided today I’d start doing some jump practice before my easier leg workouts so 3x weekly. So keep in mind I’ve done legs like 4 days in a row going into today, kinda sore.

Ive always been a left-right two foot jumper and a left foot single leg jumper. Tried right-left and right today for the first time in a long time. Grabbing rim off all 4 plants.

Also my dumbass wore allbirds which have no traction. Made it really hard to convert momentum into vertical so especially messed up my single leg jumps but still got it. It was definitely a problem because I could grab rim off my two foot jumps with a drop step as easily as with a run up. Stoked to hit my next session with better shoes and see how many more inches I get with a run up.

Basically I’ll be dunking soon and knees over toes guy is legit. If you want me to break down my training plan ig I can do that lmk if curious

grabbing rim is a lot different from dunking tbh. But good work nontheless. My right-left plant is trash and I'm workin on it too.

Do you play, or you are just doing it to be the local MJ?

Nah I don’t play it’s just a focused metric to measure athleticism. I want to get more athletic and physically healthy so I can have the most fun with my body playing sports and so that I’ll know how to raise my kids to be jock chads.

Of course it’s not the same as dunking but if I’m grabbing rim like very easily(reaching like 10’5 or so) off of one step when I haven’t jumped in a month or two I’d say I should be dunking real soon.
