Can I fix my overbite+crossbite at 17?

Hi, I have a crossbite and a bit of an asymmetrical face, and I think it’s because of the crossbite. I also have kind of a recessed chin, I’ve been doing chin tucks for months, and I got little results.
I’m looking to get MSE for the crossbite and MARA for the recessed chin (overbite), I’m 17.
Do I still have time? Will it fix me?

it cant guarantee perfect facial symmetry, a dramatically different chin unless your lower jaw moves significantly, full correction of skeletal chin deficiency without surgical/genioplasty options

also get a CBCT scan before doing mara or mse

MSE can help your crossbite and may improve your asymmetry a bit, but it won’t guarantee perfect symmetry. MARA can help bring your lower jaw forward, but at 17 you’re near the end of your growth window, so results may be limited

Is the bone growth problem only with Mara or mse also?

both depend on bone growth, just in different ways.

MSE still needs some growth because it tries to split the mid-palatal suture, and at 17 that suture is partly fused so expansion is possible but less predictable. MARA relies even more on growth because it tries to stimulate the lower jaw to grow forward, and by 17 most of that growth is basically done
