Can I get good rep by posting on peoples profiles instead of making threads or normal posts?

If I post on someone’s profile I think it doesn’t count as a post, but if I get a reaction it counts as a rep. So why can’t I just post on everyone’s profiles and talk there so I can get a lot of rep for no “posts” being counted?
