lmao they probably wouldnt go after you just over 300$ but regardless its super risky and the chances of you getting caught are insanly high just with how see through crypto transactions are and especially converting the crypto into cash super tracable even with a vpn. if it was me i just wouldnt do crypto i would refund something else like a laptop or something less see through but if you think it will work then go ahead.
