Isotretinoin and tretinoin are going to be adversely different.
Isotretinoin will obviously go systemic, tretinoin may still but to a much, much lesser extent.
I wouldn't worry about growth plates on tretinoin to be honest. Recent studies suggest no correlation between the two.
