Who gives a fuck about doctor's prestige when you're severely depressed and have no time, plus programming is often comfy work from home.
One of the best things my dad ever told me was to choose one thing and specialize HARD in it, become a master at that one thing, it'll serve you better than being another jack of all trades normie.
