CAN I USE HYDROCORTISONE DAILY?

I kinda have a big ah nose. I just started using 1% hydrocortisone cream at the base of the nose 3x a day. Google generally says ‘you shouldn’t use steroid cream daily ever.’

But idk it seems like it might not rly be harmful depending on how my body handles the topical hormone. It seems like it affects everyone differently.

yeah, just stop daily if you see skin thinning, redness or blood vessels, or acne because you dont want ur skin to be dependent on it. IMO its better to use just when needed instead of daily, and since its risky in the long term you can try something prescription like Pimecrolimus or Tacrolimus, theyre not corticosteroid but calcineurin inhibitors instead, it may be slower overtime and not instant like hydrocortisone but theyre great for daily, they wont cause skin thinning (itll still reduce the inflammation) and theyre safer / more sustainable long term especially if youre trying to be less dependent on hydrocortisone. I recommend using hydrocortisone if youre flaring up but daily use one of the others.

Any update? Also found some potent ass corticosteroid fluocinonide 0.05% gna use for 3-4 weeks than use hydrocortisone eod very thinly to keep results and after a while it should hopefully be permanent

Yeah I tried betamethasone and it didn’t do much. Rn I put on 2.5% hydro every now and then. I think it does help temporarily for bloating. Could potentially cause thinning, which is the goal cause i have excess cartilage
