Ive heard that using reta while on Accutane can fuck you up is that true?

reta and accutane don’t really interact because they work on different pathways and don’t block or amplify each other directly. most people say the issues only come from overlap effects. that said, because you’re running both,

look out for stuff like triglycerides creeping up - triglycerides are fats in your blood and you usually won’t feel them rising, you’ll only see it on blood tests. if they get too high you might notice upper abdominal pain or nausea, which is when it becomes a problem.

extra liver strain - both drugs needing hepatic processing at the same time, accutane can raise liver enzymes on its own, and rapid fat loss from reta increases fatty acid flux through the liver, so together they can push ALT/AST up more than either would alone.

dehydration / low electrolytes from reduced appetite

plus accutane dryness

and upper abdominal pain which could point to pancreas or gallbladder stress.

nothing guaranteed, just things that only really matter when you stack them.

REALISTICALLY with these two youll be more than fine. Accutane is more dangrous, on reta just eat lots of high protein animal foods, drink like 4l + water with good electrolyes and fruit and monitor blood sugar if you feel awful and dont eat too close to bed.

idk where you heard that but it shouldnt be bad. although reta can cause anhedonia pretty bad and accutane can cause depression.

i experienced both, discontinuation of them for a time cleared it up though

nw bro you should b good on just those, start reta at .5 or 1mg (1mg was fine for me) and do 1mg for 2 weeks then up .5mg every week until youre as high as you think you need. i never went above 3mg. even if youre not hungry on 1mg youll lose more weight on more bcs of the glucagon receptor

how does reta cause anhedonia?

that’s under-eating and bad nutrition not reta itself just causing anhedonia, tbf GLP-1s blunt food reward

with enough calories/carbs and no stim stacking most people feel neutral or calmer, not anhedonic, and if it does happen you can adjust dose or intake while still on it.

i remember reading that it has to do with altering the reward responses in the brain, not just due to lack of nutrition.

definitely not saying its a bad drug or anything, to add to that i was on 1mg and still am. to clarify im not disagreeing with what your earlier post said. the two drugs will likely not directly conflict or cause and real damage when used properly
