Do jaw angle implants actually increase ramus height and what are the drawbacks if it does?

Brutal, how can I increase the ramus height tho?No your ramus will be the same underneath the implant

This is proof how dogshit and ignorant the "advice" on this forum has become.
Yeah the lvl of looksmaxxing advice has diminished in this forum. Btw if the implants were to vertically lengthen the ramus, I heard there could be complications in the jaw muscle. How true is this? This is proof how dogshit and ignorant the "advice" on this forum has become.
For prefabricated implants, there are two types of jaw implants: Widening implants and vertical lengthening implants (i.e. ramus lengthening implants). For custom implants (either angle implants or a wraparound implant), you could create any mix of width and height. So yes, implants could easily increase your ramus height.
People on this forum talk so much shit about jaw implants, it is stunning they don't even know this much.
Do you mean functional complications or visual complications?Yeah the lvl of looksmaxxing advice has diminished in this forum. Btw if the implants were to vertically lengthen the ramus, I heard there could be complications in the jaw muscle. How true is this?
Any kind of complications as all are equally importantDo you mean functional complications or visual complications?
Supposedly there can be a very subtle issue where if you flex your masseter muscle, you can see that the muscle does not go all the way to the edge of your jaw like it does in a natural jawline. It is a very subtle thing that no one who doesn't know about jaw implants would ever notice. Never heard of functional issues from this procedure.Any kind of complications as all are equally important
Easier to larp tbh. Just don't be very low bf for ur masseter muscle to be fully defined. I heard ur masseter muscle could be pull up and get detached. I'm not sure if that's referring to the phenomenon I was talking about (jaw muscle does not reach edge of mandible) or an actual injury. If it's the latter, it's probably something that happens with unexperienced surgeons.I heard ur masseter muscle could be pull up and get detached. U sure u never heard this?

I heard the vertical implant can stretch the ramus and it's too long, it can break it. Also every pic I see of the jaw muscle shows it covers the entire ramus . Am I missing something or what.I'm not sure if that's referring to the phenomenon I was talking about (jaw muscle does not reach edge of mandible) or an actual injury. Yes, the muscle covers the implant on the bottom, but not always at the back, depending on how it is inserted. This is something you can only see from the side: A few millimeters at the back of the jaw where the jaw doesn't cover the implant. That is what I have seen, at least. I heard the jaw muscle could detach from being overstretched by a vertical implant that might be too long. Do u know what I'm talking about?Break the what?

Detach from what? The origin or the insertion?I heard the jaw muscle could detach from being overstretched by a vertical implant that might be too long. Do u know what I'm talking about?

Never read any case of that from an experienced surgeon.Insertion
Eppley said something along these lines:Jaw implants only lengthen it by a bit, but widening the jaw width is anavoidable.
There is no strict lengthening of ramus.
