can lefort 1 shorten the midface?

I know this question has been asked on this site before, but I have read mixed opinions. Can somebody who has a deep grasp of orthognathic surgery tell me if the lefort 1 can fix a long midface?

yes if you do ccw only in the philtrum area tho and you need to have a gummy smile to be allowed to do it

No cause midface its the area of your nose and cheekbones and if you have vertically long those two no surgery can shorten it. And even if you could shorter bones and tissues IT wouldn't look like you want since you also need forward growth
Sometimes modified Lefort 3 or Lefort 2 can slighly rotate maxilla and give slighly shorter midface but its not mind blowing result .
