I am currently undergoing surgically assisted palate expansion with the MSE & KLS expander, and my voice has gotten significantly deeper and less nasally as a result. Whenever I hardmewed even before getting the MSE installed my voice would get temporarily deeper. But with the MSE it stays that way permanently. Before I was embarrassed to call a girl on the phone when chadfishing because it was obvious that I wasn't the guy just based on voice. But now I can believably talk to girls on the phone pretending to be a high tier normie or chadlight (I still don't sound like a chad). A couple of fat girls also commented positively on my voice saying it's very deep, whereas before I got the MSE treatment everyone found my voice grating and annoying.

My theory is that when hard mewing, the tongue pushed a lot of soft tissues out of the way giving itself more space, and the increased space allowed for more resonance in the chest cavity. MSE sort of accomplishes the same thing but it's permanent.
