it does not upswing the maxilla if thats what you mean. but it does grow the lefort 3 area

When the maxila grow downward it doesn't start from the zygoma or the lefort 3 you may call it start from the lefort 2 and what makes your orbitals less compact you can call 1 is genetics 2 is negative orbital vector
With mse and face mask you can only rotate your maxilla from the lefor2 part to 5 degrees no more than that
