bait?
gotta be rage bait
thought you meant your zygos were narrow
you definitely need palate expansion; if it widens your zygos then call it a bonus. you need it regardlessYeah ik, my orto said „i dont need it” and that „i dont have a bone” i know u can expand your upper only to match your lower and u can have a lot of bite problems when u expand too much. my parents are paying for this but they are too retarded i will have to pay for my ownoh okthought you meant your zygos were narrow

tbh mostly i want to get better smile. i have these dark corners when i smileYes it will wide zygos however in almost every case the patient ends up looking worse from asymmetry aswell as your mid face being getting expanded/widend but your lower jaw staying the same. That being said your pallet is quite narrow and you might be best off dnring that and getting mse but for functional reasons not aesthetics.
him saying it's fine probably means insurance won't cover it. but that is clearly way more narrow than you anyone would ever want to be. i'd try to fix it stillYeah ik, my orto said „i dont need it” and that „i dont have a bone” i know u can expand your upper only to match your lower and u can have a lot of bite problems when u expand too much. my parents are paying for this but they are too retarded i will have to pay for my own
id try another orto for my own money when my treatment ends, i think i can get a bit of expansion. Its U shaped tho i thinkhim saying it's fine probably means insurance won't cover it. but that is clearly way more narrow than you anyone would ever want to be. i'd try to fix it still
do you think it's because of side sleeping? i feel like back sleeping could help mitigate the asymmetry a good bit but no kids gunna do that. id love to know how it ends up if someone knows about the asymmetry ahead of time, and tries to avoid any pressure on the face. im likely doing it early next year and can report back thenYes it will wide zygos however in almost every case the patient ends up looking worse from asymmetry aswell as your mid face being getting expanded/widend but your lower jaw staying the same. yeah you have a good u shape, and you still have barely 6 teeth showing on a smile. i plan on doing mine in turkey. my surgeon makes it sound like it'll be really simple and cheap. my plan is to just crank the palate apart, then get braces here in the states to fix the teeth and remove the expander afterwardsid try another orto for my own money when my treatment ends, i think i can get a bit of expansion. nah i dont thinks so i have been sleeping in my back for maybe 5-8 years and i have seen on my old photos that i already had jaw/eye asymetry that i have to this day. or maybe i was side sleeper in my newborn years.do you think it's because of side sleeping? i feel like back sleeping could help mitigate the asymmetry a good bit but no kids gunna do that. id love to know how it ends up if someone knows about the asymmetry ahead of time, and tries to avoid any pressure on the face. im likely doing it early next year and can report back then
Mirin, keep in contact i saw ur post on cosmetic sectionmy smiles in a pretty similar position to yours, so if i manage to solve my issue i'll hopefully remember you so i could let you know exactly what my process was and my total costView attachment 5264912
Sleeping on your back will obv lead to less asymmetry then side sleeping if that being to only variable. That being said I think the biggest cause for the asymmetry is going to bedo you think it's because of side sleeping? i feel like back sleeping could help mitigate the asymmetry a good bit but no kids gunna do that. id love to know how it ends up if someone knows about the asymmetry ahead of time, and tries to avoid any pressure on the face. im likely doing it early next year and can report back then
yeah i've been recommended that too. you can get these wide veneers that jut out to the side to fill in the buccal corridors. i really want some of the other benefits of the expansion thoughMirin, keep in contact i saw ur post on cosmetic section
btw theres something called
„Widening of the posterior tooth crowns using veneers or composite bonding.”
it could widen smile from what i got told on orthodontic groups
i'll probably just correct my bite, then maybe do a genio and fully redo my facial implants to correct the asymmetriesSleeping on your back will obv lead to less asymmetry then side sleeping if that being to only variable. That being said I think the biggest cause for the asymmetry is going to be
1. Pre Mse asymmetry getting worse ie the expander doesn’t care what side it is it just turns and will go wherever is easier so if one side is weaker it will go further out
2. There no way to screw the appliance in perfectly symmetrical it be off be fractions of mm’s which will cause asymmetry when you start expanding
