Can my hair turn from straight to wavey after a protein treatment?

So I got a protein treatment by a saloon and I asked to have a wavey looking hair but unded up with my hair pin-straight and got told to wait after a while of washing it will turn wavey and I don't really know how that would even work and another thing is it usually that painful with the hot iron on my scalp it was like burning my scalp and and it was very painful after washing my hair out and now my scalp isn't as painful after washing but it is still somewhat sensitive

My scalp hurts like shit if I rest my head against anything that's not super soft and I think I have blisters in my scalp is there something I could do to like help it heal faster?

No , it is not it is mostly fine until something touch it that is not soft like a hand for example it hurts when someone touch my scalp
