Just wondering about the potential for implants (specifically orbital implants) to prevent future procedures around the same area. Would it incompatible with a canthoplasty? Has anyone done both?

Only main issue would be that implants create scar tissue, alter the rim contour, and if malpositioned or exposed, can complicate tendon fixation or require implant revision // partial removal. Doing both at the same time in the same procedure is 100% a better choice, risk wise and just makes it easier overall.

So yes you could technically get implants done before and it wouldn't go insanely wrong, but getting both done at the same time is a better idea.

This is the most educated/genuine reply I've received on org. Thank you.
