after 15 your maxilla starts to fuse and a regular palate expander after 15 will not give you that much skeletal effects
and it will tip your teeth out like crazy

Yeah I had a v narrow palate and a narrow mouth overall and my orthodontist gave me palatal expanders to grow room for my tongue. I had it for about 3 months and at the end of the 3 months there was a noticeable gap between my two front teeth. Then at the end of it I took it off and the gap closed, and I look at pics of myself before and after all that and I see absolutely 0 difference whatsoever. JFL, I posted a pic on reddit recently after palate expanders and someone told me I should get some expansion on my upper jaw LOL. Really did nothing. My orthodontist hasn't said anything about it but Ill ask him when I see him again

MSE is a palate expander that is implanted into your maxilla with micro screws, it is much easier than surgery recovery wise and cost efficiency for the value it gives you, however the caveat is you need to wear a facemask for 6 months
