Why would it? The only downside of permasquitnt for me is, aside from it's maintenainance, is that it reveals the subhumanity when you're not doing that. Not for people around you who don't precisely notice the absence of squint but for you.
One unexpected pro I found is that permasquint, if I'm not deluded myself, enlarges the squinting muscle so it sorta gives an impression of projected zygos/maxilla.
