Can permanent retainer on bottom 6 teeth effect growing a wide chin?

Will removing the retainer help chin width? Before I got braces my teeth were slightly spaced, so I don't think they'll crowd if I do remove it

oh i think i got it : spaced lower teeth means wide lower arch, that's it ?
i have retainers too 6 for upper and 6 for lower arch
