when i was younger i was very good at fortnite for some reason. i was so good id sometime make money off cups and tokens. i genuinly was the best. i just remember i wasnt good enough anymore and couldnt keep up. no metter how much i trained or did anything.
same thing with football. i was so good at it when i was younger id carry my whole team by my self. they called me messi bc i was short and so good. i just remeber i wasnt good anymore. and i stopped.
same thing with school. i nerver did bad in school. never did homework bc i was so good in school. id just stay focus in class so i woudnt do any school work at home and it worked for my whole school years. i had the equivalent of 8 or 9/10 in every topic. until uni and it didnt work anymore. even if i study, it only worked for easy things. i felt stupid for the first time in my life. i would study and woudnt understand anything. that was humbling asf.
i can name a lot of things where my genetics stopped me from being actually good at something to make it big on that thing.
i always been the best at anything i did around the people i knew but never good enough to compete with people that are genuinly good.
genetic determinism is crazy. the hardest pill to swallow.
