Can removable braces make your palate wider and give you forward growth?

I have asked this my orthodontist, he said it will give me minimal to no forward growth at all but is there any way to maximise this? I heard 2mm of forward growth is possible if you just wear them normally. I will be wearing them for a year but I think I will ask him if I could wear them longer. So let's just say I wear these braces at home and for around 12 hours a day. What would I need to do to maximise forward growth or how much forward growth is expected?

The removal braces alone doesn’t really have a big impact on forward growth. you should ask your orthodoncist to get a facemask (also called reverse pull headgear), which works together with the expander to pull the maxilla forward.

This unless you are above 20 or something and have all sutures ossified.

Thanks but either way I'll just stick to the removable braces since it's the only option for me now
