Fine nose overall but somewhat short (short middle third at 30% of my face). Have a long philtrum ~19-20 mm (2.05 chin to phil ratio) and my lower third is 37% of my face.

Tldr its ideal if i keep my midface length constant. Is it possible/practical to lengthen my nose vertically given that I can knock those 3 flaws out in one go? Saw some stuff about a cartilage graft.

From the ratios it looks like a 3-4 mm lengthening of my nose would fix all those ratios without my nose looking too long

I feel you man, I’ve got same problem with the thirds, but you are kinda fucked with the philtrum,
as the only think you can do is get bimax (downgraft) but im pretty sure that you philtrum won’t change.

@Snicket what do you think

Thanks I was thinking about genio/bimax since my chin is a bit weak but it would make my lower third comical in proportion to the rest of my face. My philtrum is also giga overprojected (80 degree nasolabial angle), so I'm not sure about bimax since if the angle were less acute my philtrum would be even longer? but only bsso could help overall

Btw the surgery i was referring to is called a cseg-based rhinoplasty if that makes any difference

Is 19-20mm philtrum even that bad?

Nose lengthening is real, but it is very rare and you need to find the right surgeon.

Could you post ur front and side of ur lower third with nose to better understand your case.
Make sure there's no lens distortion

Depends, sometimes (nilskue I guess) it’s manageable, sometimes (mine) it’s over even when proportioned with chin. I have exactly same problem and it sucks hard, why? Your middle third (from browridge to nose base) shorter then should be as the nose itself shorter while the same time your lower third is longer than should be because philtrum itself longer and to compensate the chin is longer too, for example mine is 44mm while philtrum is 20 so it’s 1:2,2 and while nominally it’s fine indeed my lower third is somewhat twice (ok mb not twice I’m to late to recheck mb it’s 1.5 times but not 1:1 anyway) longer then middle and it fucks 1:1:1 ratio. Besides that in ratio with jaw and chin on photos it can looks fucked (firstly check photo without blue lines and then with so I guarantee you will notice how it feels not same in proportion vs how it really is and yeah indeed on photo due to projection ratio looks 1:2 anyway but the point still remains as you getting too compact middle third but to big lower one)
