146 patients with moderate to severe scare prone acne. Treatment regimen consisted of isotretinoin, fixed 20 mg daily, and duration of treatment-based on the weight of patient, until total cumulative dose of 120 mg/kg of body weight is achieved.

If am 80kg i need to achieve 120×80 =9600 mg cumulative dose. So if Itake 20 mg daily I need 480 days to finish ??? That doesnt seem right

The answer is simple. It isn't right.

The study was written by shitskins. Either they are retarded or some things were lost in translation.

Over cant even trust these studies
I just wanna figure a good accutane dosage to minimize side effects.
Thinking about 20 mg for 6 months what do you think

I wouldn't touch accutane in long term doses because it fucks with your bone density. fyi If you do manual labour, or rough sports like Rugby, off road biking etc.

Have you been to a doctor and had any treatments yet? if not, why?

I have experimented two years with topicals since joining looksmax ( tret, benzoyl peroxide ...) some improvement but still have this long lasting mild acne basicaly 4-5 pimples each week.
I tought maybe 6 month 20mg accutane course will make them go

the calculations are correct, keep in mind that the sample most likely contains people that weight much lower than you(indian women etc) so they would only be treated for 300day or smth

Thats too long of a period tbh.
Like you said I will have to up the dosage after sometime to reach the cumulative dosage needed

keep this in mind, the cumulative dosage mantra is often disproved in modern studies, no need to overmedicate

I did read that and it made me wonder how do the effects of acne clearence last after stoping it. It surely must be the accumulation of the coumpound in the system no ?

20mg Ed is the lowest dosage prescribed by Drs, to achieve a higher cumulative dose faster they usually prescribe 40-60mg ed

I myself did 40mg Ed for 8 months
