After ww2, germany was reduced to the ground, 'stunde null' roughly translated: hour zero. It was nothing, everyone hated them etc and everthing was bombarded and lots of men were dead, thus missing a vital component for thriving society. except now they the fourth economy in the world. they got marshall aid from the USA, however that is no more. Africa still gets money from the west till this day
Also after ww2, Japan was also very weakened, even 2 major cities literally anhilalated via atomic bombs. yet now they are the third economy in the world. also they are Asian, sort of disproving whiteness to SOME EXTEND,
lots of western european countries rebuild themselves.
however, lots of colonies that were decolonized even before ww2, so having more time than previous mentioned examples to thrive, however, to nobodies surprise, they do not. from what I understand they play the victim role, and come to their former colonizers to bring down statistics.
