Depends, if it's physical chemistry then sure. Dunno about organic or inorganic :feelsuhh:

Just post the questions bruh

Im thinking it would form a double bond within the ring of the OH at the bottom but im small brain.

What's up, post the questions here

I was sleeping

H2SO4 should eliminate water, meaning that a double chain (not sure how to call that in English) should occur
Thought that too.
Double bond/double chain same thing.
Would it happen on both the OH at the top and within the ring

By logically thinking I would say it would happen on both.

Not sure about this though

No problem

I'm more of a physics guy though lol
Im in premed lol.
Its a big chemistry jump I have to get 90% in this for entry grades into med.

Does my answer look right?
Its just using curly arrows.

Is the first one supposed to be a reduction? If so you would need a catalyst like Pt for example.

Not sure lol

Bro this chemistry is harder than HS that's for sure 😂

Maybe @TsarTsar444 can help

1st is nucleophilic substitution its just replacement from the H- anion.
I have to draw arrows indicating the movement of electrons the base reaction is the 1st pic so i can't add anything

Yea for sure.
Nucleophoilic substitution works on haloalkanes

Shouldn't in this case the reaction occur on Chloride or Flouride?

Nevermind I'm wrong

Meant nucleophilic elimination mb
The H- 's electronegativity draws the positive H on the O-H and takes it away due to the EN difference
Left with C-O- which becomes C=O when the lone pair moves in to form a carbonyl.
Pretty sure thats how it works could be mistaken but the products match up.

This makes sense, yeah.

The H- 's electronegativity draws the positive H on the O-H
Here you mean Oxygens electronegativity?

Since it's greater than the electronegativity of hydrogen

Yea the O's electronegativity makes the H positive which draws the H- to pick it up

Off topic but are you from the US?

In most European countries you just complete high school and then enroll into Med University, usually for 6 years.

New Zealand.
here we complete HS at 18 (I skipped a year so 17 for me) then do 1 year biomed (premed) at uni and apply for med.
Only about 10% of students get into med from there and it takes 5 years.

One of my mates did some European entry grade exams and shit to get into medicine straight after he finished HS here.
Tougher work in HS but I guess it paid off.
