so enlarged turbinates have an external effect on the nose?

i wanna tell my ent specialist whether they can combine a septoplasty + turbinates reduction surgery at once to kill 2 birds with one stone, take away the crookedness about my nose and make it a lot slimmer

Bro don’t get that surgery. It’s risky as fuck. The turbinate structure is like an organ, it’s important for humidifying air and communicating to your brain that you’re getting adequate oxygen intake. If you excise it there’s a good probability you will end off with some form of empty nose syndrome. The incidence rate is also way higher than suggested

be careful with getting turbinate reduction surgery. your can develop a condition called empty nose syndrome which causes intense headaches and makes you feel like you're suffocating even though you have adequate air and your airways are clear. doctors don't know what causes it and there's no good cure known
