If your TV has a web browser, you can also use free streaming sites like lookmovie2.

Personally I prefer to torrent high quality rips for movies, but use free streaming sites for most TV shows.
(A film should be watched in the highest quality possible, but TV shows usually aren't that impressive visually anyways so streams are fine)
