Can someone tell me why I look better in lens distorted selfies than when I take a pic from further away?

Idk but with me it fixes my esr and makes my lower third look bigger and wider

Maybe you benefit from having a wider IPD and features with a more prominent forehead and a narrower jaw(can help with harmony)

I'd say yes, certainly does with me. Also lens distortion seems make my pfl wider as well idk if you noticed that w yourself

Yes. Pictures from the front camera make the IPD wider, forehead bigger, chin taller, jaw more narrow and nose bigger. Also exaggerates assynetries amd skin blemishes
