That is, to what role does your environment and decisions affect your mental health. I really think if this guy had a job or girlfriend or anything going for him there is no way he'd be this insane. Do you think someone can mentally rot and go insane from being on the internet all day and being a NEET incel like this guy? Or, do you think it's predetermined and it was solely just his brain chemistry.

Who knows, but it differs person to person. There's men who wouldn't go insane even for 50 years in solitary prison cell. Then there's guys who lose it when you ask them what time it is.
