Can the wisdom teeth project the midface or the maxilla once they're grown

I know this might be bullshit but genuinely asking, how can i project my maxilla, i went to a dentist to get a triple way expander but i got denied and told that my palate applies correctly on my mandible and that i shouldn't get one so i dont get and overbite
