can you apply castor oil on eyelashes or is it dangerous for eyes?

i recently acquired some castor oil as i could not get a hold of oral topical minoxidil because you need a prescription or whatever and castor oil is cheaper. but anyways can i also apply it on my lashes?

I tried it when i was younger some got into my eyes and nothing happened
