I've been using topical minoxidil on my hair and recently my eyebrows, but since I'm experiencing diffuse thinning everywhere it's a hassle to apply the topical minoxidil across my entire scalp, and I don't even know if I've applied fully. Apparently topical minoxidil only works for 20% of people anyway..

Hence, I'm looking to switch to oral minoxidil.

However, I've heard horror stories that it bloats you like crazy. I'm also weary of using minoxidil, as I'd rather just get a hair transplant and not be reliant on the minoxidil for the rest of my life, but I don't think hair transplants can really help diffuse thinning much anyway.

Anyways, should I switch from topical to oral or is topical better for reduced bloating?

Oral bloats

Solution?

Oral bloats

Solution?
im currently using topical and wanted to switch to oral, but have decided to first try 2.5mg dutasteride for a year or so, to see if I can get any regrowth.

eplerenone should be able to counter the minoxidil bloat (in theory) as it inhibits aldersterone which minoxidil is known to increase (and causes bloating).

For me personally oral minox gigabloated tf outta me compared to topical. didn’t notice any while on topical tbh maybe minor amounts but the difference was night and day. if ur willing to walk around with sumo wrestler facial roundness for results mirin the dedication

Are you fr? Oral fkn relaxes blood vessels triggering kidneys to hold onto more fluid. Topical doesn’t bloat you at all. Do more research before asking such a terrible question
