Can you combine Lefort I impaction with advancement?

I presume Lefort I impaction is a.k.a Lefort I w/ ccw.

Can this be combined with an advacement or is it one or the other?



Also, I've read many times on here that you can't shorten a midface. Looks like it's being shortened on here. Or am I missing something

Not sure. Albeit I see a reduction in gonial angle and midface length

Yes, you can combine LeFort I impaction with advancement.
You can only shorten a midface if you have gummy smile. It looks like the midface is being shortened, but in reality it won’t.

Wait so what does this mean? It looks like its being shortened but it is not??

I am currently at a situation where overall I have a good class 1 bite, but also with a gummy smile. My surgeon said that they could move my upper jaw up 3-4mm + genioplasty, but can't decide if the lefort impaction is worth it aesthetically or to just go with a genioplasty + some gum contouring and be done with surgeries.
