Can you do Lefort 1 alone (Maxilla downgraft) to fix short face syndrome?

I have a normal bite due to having braces ages go , could I get just a maxilla down graft through lefort 1 and not bother with a bsso as my jaw is not recessed? This in theory could fully fix my sfs and maybe a genio along with it to for chin projection.
