Don't know abt pain. But the most noticeable change when my clavicle grew and shoulders wider.
There were stretch marks.
Not normal.

Thoigh i went from 16 to 19 inch bideltoid in like 4 months.
So maybe that was reason?

I got growth pains in my shoulders on steroids before the bone grew wider but that was due to abusing roids in puberty

No. Growth pains tend to be in the legs, around the knees and the shins
