Can you take beta carotene while on accutane

Not supposed to be taking vitamin a since accutane is basically a megadose of retinol (vitamin A) however I’m thinking though beta carotene isn’t available in the same way as retinol and is a different form to retinol. Found this site claiming “beta carotene is permitted” but idk can’t find much more sources on the internet https://dermnetnz.org/topics/isotretinoin/
