Always bitching and gossiping and using each other to get more social and/or sexual status and access to men. They cant be friends with a man, because they cant be friends with anyone. I have female friends but not really close w any of them.
I've only had close female friends when I was very young, neighbour's daughter for instance. At that point sex differences are minimal.

I have seen dudes who have a "girl best friend" though, many times. IDK the dynamics of it but they tend to be ugly jestermaxxers.
