It depends on how lighting highlights certain parts of your face

If you look at this pic you can see that on the left he has this deep canine fossa hollow cheek look, and on the right he has the shallow canine fossa ogee curve shape

Even if you have a deep canine fossa the soft tissue fills it and sometimes it will make sort of a little bridge over it which makes it look like it's shallow under certain lighting. Here on the left side u can see this shadow I circled in green that emphasizes the deep fossa, but the right side of his face isn't illuminated so you can't see facial depth and it looks like he has a shallow fossa

And here it looks the opposite, his left side looks like he has shallow fossa and right side looks like he has deep because it's fully illuminated.

In red I circled the places where he has hollow cheeks and in between there's this little bridge of soft tissue that sticks out and separates those two parts, even though his canine fossa is deep still this small bridge raises a few mm above those two parts circled in red so when light doesn't fall on it it looks like a shallow fossa
