I’m 26% bodyfat and been lifting 3 months

Train close to failure, have a good split and program, hit protein, get 8h sleep and I look the same. Anyone got any advice

What’s your split (every muscle twice a week/three time a week frequency hopefully)

How much do you weigh

How much protein do you ingest

Do you have adequate carbs before your sessions

Are you in a deficit

Are you actually nearing failure or is your perceived notion of failure inaccurate

These questions are all elementary and if you’ve got all of this dialled in then gains are inevitable

1. Upper lower I do 3x frequency

2. Right now I weigh 180, I’m overweight for my height I have love handles

3. Yes

4. For the first month of lifting I was at maintenance. Past 2 months I’ve been in a controlled deficit and I’m down 10lbs

5. Yes, most of the time I’ll go to full failure just to make sure it’s not my limiting factor

Either I’m just blind and can’t see muscle being built or something is wrong

If that’s all true then I’d assume you’re having a hard time seeing gains because there’s still a lot of fat to be lost

Just train 1hr30m twice a week, moderate to heavy 7-9 reps, warm showers never cold, sleep, eat more saturated fat and meat

You probably aren't noticing it because of the high body fat
