Cant fix overbite through surgery

I have a really bad overbite (8mm), I have talked to my dentist about jaw surgery but i cannot apply to that because my teeth roots are too short. The roots were shortened because of my bracers and he says that if i get surgery, my teeth have a high % of falling out. What the fuck should i do? The overbite cucks my looks completely since it recesses my jaw heavily.

Is dentist experienced enough to say things like these? Go to ortho or maxillofacial surgeon and ask one of them.

I'm not sure how to explain it but my roots are short, my teeth are normal. Braces sometimes shorten the roots and if i try to move my teeth around more they might fall out. The roots look like the image

How do u know if braces shortened your roots significantly?

I had braces for a while as well and am considering Bimax to fix my overbite as well. The 3 years of braces I had were bullshit fixes.

Reading this, I am concerned I will have the same issue.

Your choice would have to now be some form of implant or something. Fillers as well.

He made an X-ray of my mouth. I brought up the topic of my overbite and he just straight up told me that I'd have to live with it since he or anyone else cannot fix it in a safe way.

I mean theres a good chance that you wont get it, looked it up and theres a 2% chance shortening happens from braces. I'm just really unlucky

Your solution will be what I mentioned above, but as for the specific treatments I don't know you would have to post a blurred out selfie of yourself to get advice here.

You could get a few opinions from actual jaw surgeons. You could go ahead with jaw surgery and if any teeth are lost in the process you could get tooth implants. No pain no gain
