I literally tried every way possible every type of blade every direction and the only time I can get a close shave is when I ago against the grain and I just can't cause I get bumps and burns skin gets fucked and the only thing has worked for me is laser but I do t want to thin my beard out long term any suggestions y'all? I'm literally 16 BTW 😭

learn proper technique and against the grain shouldn't be a problem

make sure that your blade isn't dull either

YES I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING
then continue with it and learn proper technique like @causeimight said. safety razor is the best option for the closest shave and less irritation so once u get a hang of it ull be fine

Do with the grain, then reapply shaving cream and go against it, finish off with some light moisturizer or an ice pack:Comfi:

Don't shave against the grain, if your skin is so sensitive or maybe you should properly prepare your skin for shave at the very least. Like, rub a hot towel on your face before shaving and use aftershave as well.

How do u do it then against the grain my skin gets raped every time
I use a safety razor and in the beginning I got horrible razor bumps and razor scars but I changed the blade, I started using proper shaving cream and I didn't attack my skin directly with against the grain. I also started using my cleanser before and after shaving and I started using very hot water on my skin and using moisturiser as an aftershave.

I usually do with the grain, then across and then against. so three passes. you shouldn't shave like a windshield wiper you should try to minimise the amount of passes you do to as low of a number as possible. You wanna be very slow with the passes (especially with a safety razor since it's all about the angles) and you wanna understand which pattern your hair grows in. the neck and under chin area is the hardest since it's divided into sections and so you can't just run the blade in any direction you want.

I think that's all, when I got razor bumps I let my beard grow for like 5 days without shaving and just doing my skincare routine so that the skin can come back normally and the first few times shaving I didn't go against I went with and then across. Hope this helps

nah ur skin looks fine still looks nice and youthful too the stubble really doent nerf u imo just a lil bit of free dimo imo and me personaly i still get comliments on my skin when i rock the stubble ur skin looks calm too

youll probably regret it later in life i would wait
When I lasered it kinda just paused my beard and then it came back thicker then before nothing really happened I'm not gonna do to much retouches where I kill the follicle just to stop it from growing fast yk
