Well there are less young people percentage wise now than when older generations grew up. Boomers grew up in a society that was youthful on average and this caused prosperity and ease of socializing. Nowadays thanks to the previous generations having less kids, we live in an aging society with mostly older people, which means less social opportunities and also more burden to support the older population. But there is still enough younger people that we should be able to form connections easier than this

Yeah, not much we can do unless some odd stroke of luck comes for us. I just enjoy what I can like listening to music, doing hobbies like driving, and doing stuff in nature too. All of these are solitary hobbies though even though they're good, so they don't help the social aspect. Most music I listen to is 2000s to 2010s pop and country music because it's nostalgic
