i don't know if anyone can relate to this or if i'm just a loser , but i genuinely can't remember the last time i was actually happy in my life , and i mean happy in a "nothing to worry about" candid way , the times i can recall vividly are when i was a little kid , ever since i started puberty i guess i haven't truly felt happy in my life , there's always something to ruin the picture and bother me , can any oldcel tell me if you feel sometimes that pure form of happiness you would experience as a kid later on in life or if it's just something i'll never experience again

There's always something to worry about, unless you're legitimately a very healthy upper upper class citizen. And even those guys worry about certain things all the time aswell.

Those times where you were oblivious as a kid are long gone, now there's just constant stress and worry. It's awful but you have to make it work. Grind and grind and make sure you make the most out of life while it lasts. :feelsautistic:

You define your own happiness, read this thread by @Luca_.

the replies in it by gargantuan are good aswell

I actually can, and it wasn’t that long ago, but without fully realizing what was going on I made a series of decisions that pushed me further and further from it. Now everyday feels like a nightmare and I live in self loathing. But I don’t need to rope because I’m taking control and I have actionable, coherent plans to make things a lot less stressful.

hopefully you can get back to that point , that feeling is one of the only things i really wish in my life as well even if it's just temporary , but life becomes so challenging when you're not a kid anymore

I feel the same way as you do. You need to realise that being stressed is your choice, even though it’s caused by external factors.

Take a minute and realise that nothing truly matters unless you want it to. If someone insults you, it’s meaningless at face value, it doesn’t affect you in anyway unless you want it to affect you.
It’s your job to choose what matters, and what doesn’t.

i already somewhat apply that to my life , i distance myself from any form of stress and learned to be unbothered by things i cannot control . The thing is with this feeling that i'm describing is that i think it's something so organic that i can't really chose to feel it or not if that makes sense , i feel like it just happens because of a bunch of circumstances and also like another user said earlier the fact that i was oblivious as a kid , so i don't know if it will ever feel as authentic as back then , i wouldn't say im a sad person at all my life is pretty enjoyable , but i'm far from happy

Yeah I get what you mean. You know what you need to do, but it’s pretty hard to actually do it. It’s like telling a sad person to do X thing. That would cure their sadness, they are aware of it, but it’s just too hard to do.

Getting enough sleep and doing things that bring you fulfillment are the 2 keys to Happiness regardless
of your age or where you are at in life.

From day one I knew it was over, even as a kid I was not happy
