I’m trying to fix a slight negative canthal tilt and improve my eye area support, but I keep getting conflicting info on whether to go for a pexy or a plasty.
From what I understand:

Canthopexy: Just reinforces the existing lateral canthal tendon without cutting it. Seems safer, lower risk of changing the actual shape of the eye, but I’ve read the results can drop or disappear completely within a year or two because it’s just suspension.

Canthoplasty: Actually cuts and reposition the tendon. Permanent results, can drastically change the tilt from negative to neutral/positive, but higher risk of giving you that round frank tufano "botched look" or ruining the natural eye shape if the surgeon messes up the anchoring point.

Answers are appreciated 🙏
