cars are cringe in general. imagine caring about muh brand name, muh performance. completely pointless to have a top speed of 150 when you hardly get the opportunity to go above 100. all that matters is gas mileage and cost.

You would need way too many solar panels, solar panels on a house roof would only produce enough energy for a car to move maybe a mile at best.

Add in the much smaller sized roof of a car, the inability to recharge batteries faster than they discharge and that & it's not an all-weather solution it's not practical.
